Culturally Intelligent Allyship: Allying Every Day
Empowering non-First Nations people with confidence and capability to be impactful allies.
Course Overview
Culturally Intelligent Allyship: Allying Every Day is a program designed for non-First Nations people who are just stepping into their allyship, looking for support to build their knowledge, confidence and capacity.
This program creates safe and supportive spaces for courageous conversations and facilitates experiential activities for participants to engage with each other. Participants develop a foundation of cultural intelligence that will support their allyship in whatever spaces they are passionate about.
Our Culturally Intelligent Allyship programs are purposefully small groups to ensure they are safe innovative spaces with high levels of experiential engagement. These programs are not cultural awareness training that starts with Captain Cook, a whole lot of statistics, and less-than-useful '“feel guilty/good moments”.
Like all First Peoples Leading programs, Culturally Intelligent Allyship will be challenging, pragmatic, relevant and innovative experiences focussed on supporting allies to have real impact now for First Nations people, which contributes to dignity-centred community for all Australians.
Program features
Online delivery: 2 x 2-hour virtual workshops with associated reading/viewing requirements.
Expert presenters: This program will be lead by highly experienced First Nations and Non-First Nations leadership professionals.

Acknowledgement of Country
We pay our respects to Elders and community leaders, and those leaders that came before us, who for millennia have maintained the world’s oldest surviving cultures and who have made it possible for us to do what we do. We acknowledge the strength and innovation of our young people, the leaders and Elders of the future.
We acknowledge our families, who have always supported us to dream big and who continue to support us as Thirriwirri evolves.
We also pay respect to the non-First Nation people we work with who share our vision for an empowered, prosperous and culturally assured First Nations Australia.
