Culturally Intelligent Allyship: Allying for Impact

Empowering non-First Nations leaders with the confidence and capability to help create change.

Course Overview

Culturally Intelligent Allyship: Allying for Impact is designed for professionals whose work actively engages with First Nations people, communities and organisations. Allying for Impact supports participants to engage and challenge each other to consider their roles as allies for First Nations people across the spectrum of Advocate, Activator, Partner and Supporter. At First Peoples Leading we know that the best culturally intelligent allies must be able to recognise when to either walk beside or behind First Nations people and to have the ability to do both impactfully as required.

Our Culturally Intelligent Allyship programs are purposefully small groups to ensure they are safe, innovative spaces with high levels of experiential engagement.

Like all First Peoples Leading programs, Culturally Intelligent Allyship will be challenging, pragmatic, relevant and innovative experiences focussed on supporting allies to have real impact now for First Nations people that contributes to a dignity-centred community for all Australians.

Acknowledgement of Country

We pay our respects to Elders and community leaders, and those leaders that came before us, who for millennia have maintained the world’s oldest surviving cultures and who have made it possible for us to do what we do. We acknowledge the strength and innovation of our young people, the leaders and Elders of the future.

We acknowledge our families, who have always supported us to dream big and who continue to support us as Thirriwirri evolves.

We also pay respect to the non-First Nation people we work with who share our vision for an empowered, prosperous and culturally assured First Nations Australia.
